Community Resource Officer PetersonOur Community Resource Officer (CRO) is charged with promoting and maintaining good police-community relationships. The CRO is also responsible for organizing and teaching many of our educational programs. See our community policing efforts and programs.

College Area Community Council

The University Police Department regularly meets with the College Area Community Council to update neighboring communities about the University Police Department and to solicit feedback.

Bicycle Registration Event

UPD is partnering with the Residential Education Office, Enviromental Health and Services, and The Garden to host this registration event. All SDSU members who register their bike will receive a free U-Lock for their bicycle (while supplies last).

Chief Mays collaborates with the Dean of Students and Director of the Intercultural Relations/Cross Cultural Center to host informal gatherings with community members, including student leaders, over coffee and pastries. The meetings are designed to educate, build relationships and encourage unity.

A.L.I.C.E. Training

10:00 am to 11:30 am

SDSU Imperial Valley Campus (map)

This is a multi-option response training for active shooter or violent intruder situations. This course is designed to make participants more prepared should they ever experience this type of event.
