Front Desk

Office Location and Hours of Operation

The SDSU Police Front Desk, is located in the DPS Building. Community Service Officers (CSOs) provide front counter service for the department, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Services provided include the following:

  • Live Scan Fingerprinting

Live Scan services are open to the our campus community and the general public. Appointments are necessary and may be made by calling (619) 594-3193, during business hours. We will only provide services for those who have completed "Request for Live Scan Service" form (BCII 8016), have proper identification and have paid for the correct amount for the services being requested.

The fee varies based on where you need the scan to be sent. Prior to payment please pick up a payment form at the Police Department front counter and then pay fee at the Cashier’s Office. This will assist us in ensuring you make the correct payment.

Once you have completed the above, we will scan your fingerprints. Results usually take 5-10 business days.

  • Bike Licensing

Bike licensing is free to the campus community and to the general public. Bring your bicycle to the Police Department front counter during business hours and your license will be processed there.

  • General Information

Other services include providing assistance to the campus community and to the general public. We also provide applications for the Community Service Officers’ program.
